Planning an Overseas Forklift Delivery: What Buyers Should Prepare

A practical starting point for equipment dimensions, delivery access and the documents to discuss before shipment.

Planning an Overseas Forklift Delivery: What Buyers Should Prepare

Begin with the destination

Share the destination country, delivery address and unloading arrangements with your forklift supplier. Include any access restrictions, receiving hours and site contacts that may affect the delivery plan.

Discuss who will arrange the main transport, insurance, import formalities and final delivery. Record the agreed responsibilities in the order documents rather than assuming they are included.

Review the equipment and packing plan

Ask for the dimensions and weight of the actual machine and its packed configuration. Mast height, attachments and separately packed accessories can affect the transport plan.

For an electric forklift, identify the battery type and ask the logistics provider which battery-related documents and transport arrangements apply. Requirements depend on the equipment and transport route.

Keep the handover information together

Discuss the invoice, packing list, equipment identification, operating instructions and any model-specific compliance documents needed for the destination. Agree how inspection information and loading photographs will be shared.

Before unloading, make sure the receiving team has the appropriate equipment and the supplier’s handling instructions. Share your requirements with Feiyang to start a delivery discussion for your order.
